Cam Studio Pro is Awesome

Have you ever been on your computer and see a picture of the most beautiful landscape. Sadly you can’t save the picture because of whatever reason. Well I know some pictures I would love to hang-up in my own home. Than one day a friend of mine told me about this new software that takes a picture of whatever is on your screen. Cam Studio Pro is a screen capture software program that offers user-friendly and effective features for internet marketers. This software program was created by software developer and webmaster David Guindon to help people effectively use video in their online businesses. The software promises to be easy to use and feature rich, making it helpful for beginners and experienced internet marketers alike. Do you like writing blogs like this one. I know I do and I'm getting paid to do so. Come check it out at Type at Home.
Cam Studio Pro is a software program that capitalizes on one of the hottest trends in internet marketing video today: screen capture. When you present a screen capture video, you are showing viewers exactly what you are seeing and what you are doing on your screen. When you can add your voice to this so you can explain to viewers what they are seeing as well, you have a great basis for a tutorial that they can see and not just read. One of the things that creator Dave Guindon emphasizes about Cam Studio Pro is that it is surprisingly inexpensive, especially compared to other screen capture software programs. At a price of $29.95—a figure that Guindon claims can go up at any time but will still be less than most--the software is affordable for almost anyone.
Cam Studio Pro works with most browsers, which is an important feature when you want to make sure that anyone who comes to your website can view your videos. There is a control panel with the software that allows you to do such things as put video inside video, focus on only one part of your screen at times and upload your videos to popular video websites. The one thing that keeps standing out about Cam Studio Pro is the price. With other popular online video software sometimes costing in the hundreds of dollars, this difference in price is more than noticeable. There are some critics who say that the editing features don’t quite measure up to more expensive programs, but most people say that this can easily be worked around.
Note:  If you're on IM Report Card because you're looking for a way to make money online, then you should check out our top recommendation.  It's the best method we've found that anyone can use to earn income online.
The majority of people who have purchased Cam Studio Pro have reported back that they are well-pleased with how the program works. They claim that although it is user-friendly and therefore easy for beginners to use, it also contains enough features to make the videos that it creates look extremely professional. Cam Studio Pro is broken into 3 parts, the Recorder, the Player and the Producer AND it also offers a web page designer so practically all you have to do is record and GO. AND the best feature so far is that you can embed a link into the SWF file so that when it reaches the end of the movie, it can redirect right to the webpage of your choice. OK... so the recorder how does that work? Well you just pick what you want to record, decide whether or not you need audio, and select the Cam Studio Decoder - and hit the RECORD button - it really is that easy. The Player is just that - it plays AVI files for you - no need to load up Windows Media Player.
Last the Producer is the Bee's Knees - that is how you easily convert AVI to SWF. If you didn't need any of the screen capture capabilities - for me this part alone was worth well over $100.00 -- I have made flash files from my AVI - so I can share pictures of my boys easily over the web with the rest of our family. The one drawback is that it doesn't have a video editor with it - there are some ways to use screen annotations - but I have left conquering that for another day. So if I want to use some of the bells and whistles of Windows Movie Maker - I can't get a small AVI file back out... so any "edited" files. I am sure there is a solution out there for that - but for now - I don't know what it is. So I said that feature was worth $100... but the whole dang package is $30 - The website says the price is going up soon, so I can't guarantee the price later on. I checked the site at the writing of this posting - and it is still $30.

PROS:
Affordable - $30 at the time of this writing
Easy to Use - with just a few simple trys
Good How To Videos - Dave gives you the lowdown in easy to understand lessons
You can redirect at the end of the video to any URL you choose (great for demos and more)
CONS:
Can't edit video directly in the program
Because it's so simple to use - it may not have enough bells and whistle for the super techy
Not Free... but the Free Version of CamStudio doesn't come with all the add on tutorials
Making videos especially screen recording is useful in online business. After all, being able to make a simple video by just recording what you are doing on your computer screen is one of the more useful functions of CamStudio Pro. For me, the buy was a real ace because I could use it for many of my other work including other projects, presentations and tutorials.  I work part time with online work sites where I review products and promote on hundreds of social bookmarking sites.  I also earn commissions on affiliate marketing. My work online after a while was becoming kind of boring and blogs were looking dull.  But Cam Studio Pro has given something new to look forward to in my online product promotional work. I enjoy creating videos and uploading them into my blogs which has made my work so much interesting.  This is an ideal tool when we are promoting software programmes where demonstrations make it so much personal and appealing to the audience. Besides using videos in my work has increased traffic to my site. Much to my happiness, my commission income has risen too.  Further, Cam studio pro has a built in device to redirect traffic to a web page of your choice. This option has helped to pile up affiliate commissions.
I also use the Cam Studio Pro in my tuition for ninth grades.  This has given a new dimension to my teaching. The videos that I churn up by using this software are ideal during sleepy times. I could always guarantee my students’ attention when I play back these videos which have a better reach than just teaching them in the traditional way. My students think my new techniques are really cool and they are a very attentive and a critical audience. I get many comments on the videos I have created for them and the comments I get on improving them is amazing. Indeed, I appreciate the thoughts and candid comments of my younger audience. They are so tech savvy and never out of ideas. But what I really mostly enjoy with Cam Studio Pro is to make family videos which I burn on to a DVD or simply send them around to friends and family. This now has become a favorite hobby for me especially since my sister has migrated and is away in faraway lands. She just loves when I send family videos to her bringing fond thoughts on screen captions that are available on the software.
I introduced the software to my husband. He is tech savvy than me and usually it is very difficult to convince him to like a tech product without getting skeptical remarks on same. But Cam Studio Pro has fitted him like a glove. He is very happy with the features and options it offers to its users and most of his presentations are now made with an uploaded video. This has given him an edge in his career. I even use Cam Studio Pro to keep my kids occupied. They just love to experiment with the software and actually the videos made by them are unbelievably good. They maximized the options offered by the software. They usually upload their videos on social networking sites and are really proud about them. I on the other hand, gets a little more “me time” when they are occupied for hours in their world of video making. Of course, I have a hard time during exam times to get them focus on books again away from such interesting software.
So, here I am thrilled with Cam Studio Pro.  The buy was not in vain because of the user friendliness of the features for beginners such as us and all the things made possible by the software. More than anything,   the price was a mere USD 29 compared to other expensive software and was the real ace which kept my purse happy. this software program was created by software developer and webmaster David Guindon  Cam Studio Pro, interface software is online video maker that has features to create videos with option of capturing live screen shots. The software will capture on video exactly what you are doing on your screen. With the recording function you could add voice so that you can explain to your audience what they are seeing on the screen.  This is very especially useful for people who make money online. With such a tool as the Cam Studio Pro, you can be a successful marketer online using attractive videos for more traffic. You can promote your products as well as other affiliated products using a screen capture videos which would give more weight and personalized touch to what you are promoting online. The most amazing thing about Cam Studio Pro is user friendliness, easy for beginners and useful for tech-pros. The software can be learnt easily with its in built help file which gives you answers to your queries as you work. You only got to type the problem, and the answers are systematically set out where you can follow easily without feeling frustrated like in most software help tools.
The price comes on top of everything compared to other software in the market. You will find that the other software available in the market is more expensive.  Some software has more features than Cam Studio Pro like extra editing options. However, it still does not warrant us to invest more on such software given that you can turn out a professional video which will  suffice all your needs comfortably without exploiting you unnecessary.  For me, there is no point in having too much of features at a higher price, because we would finally use the features that are absolutely necessary to get the desired end product. Cam StudioPro comes packed with the best features that you need to turn out a professional end product. Besides Cam Studio Pro gives you free updates on the software where you could be current in an ever changing tech world. What more could we ask for at such an affordable price of only USD 29.

A screencast is a narrated explanation of activity on a computer screen, usually to explain how to perform a particular task in a computer program or on a website. You can create screencasts with many different software tools and Web services. This article will share some tips from my own experiences teaching screen casting using CamStudio Open Source, a free Windows program. Screen casting is an art. When done right, it's a thing of beauty. Let me start off sharing a screencast created by two graduate students, Ms. Shuer and Ms. Johnston, in an educational technology class I teach at American University, in Washington DC. These screencast makers are high school math teachers in the District of Columbia public schools. The screencast they created for my class, the first screencast they ever made, is exemplary. They used CamStudio to create it. You can view this six minute screencast directly from the Internet Archive, where it is hosted for free. Click anywhere on the screencast's opening screen to start the screencast. Turn up the volume on your computer, too.

Not only does this screencast provide value to students at the school where these teachers teach, it provides value to students anywhere in the world with an Internet connection. This screencast also reveals just how smart these teachers are. Both teachers know Excel inside and out, and have an uncanny ability to share that knowledge. Want to try your hand at using CamStudio? These instructions by Philip Cosper are excellent. Scroll down to the PDF file for CamStudio instructions. Here are some useful tips for creating screencasts using CamStudio. Under video settings, choose the AVI video format. The SWF file format results in screencasts of small file size, but far too blurred to my eye. The AVI file size will be much larger than the SWF file size, but large files are no longer a drawback these days.

YouTube lets you upload files as large as 2 gigabytes, and YouTube will compress the video down to a manageable file size. The Graphing in Excel screencast was a total of 330 megabytes when originally created in AVI format. I chose to compress this AVI video file using the commercial Camtasia Studio software, after first converting the file with an easy-to-use Windows video conversion program called Prism Video Converter. After I compressed the AVI file using Camtasia Studio, the resulting screencast was about 30 megabytes in file size, with almost no discernible loss of clarity of video in the file. My grad students used a regular analogue headset with a mini microphone jack to plug into the Dell desktop computer they used to create their screencast. Better quality audio can be obtained using a USB microphone such as that on the Logitech Clear Chat USB headset. One of the best microphones for screen casting is the Samson C03U. You can hear the very high sound quality of the Samson C03U half way through this YouTube video. These days my favorite microphone for screen casting is the Blue Snowball, which gives rather clear audio at an affordable price. I created this Amazon video book review with my Blue Snowball microphone.

Incidentally, did you notice how the Graphing in Excel screencast above was planned, but not overly rehearsed? Having spontaneity in your screencast can make it more interesting to watch. Here is one of my own screencasts, about Google SketchUp, where I planned the general screencast, but improvised quite a bit, too. It's important to note that CamStudio does not record your microphone audio as a default setting. You need to turn on this setting for your voice to be recorded. To do that, simply choose that setting and you'll see the check mark appear. Start off creating some short screencasts so that you can get a hang of the process. Remember to switch off the ringer on your cell phone before starting to record. And find a nice quiet location, where you won't be interrupted. If you live in a house with young kids, late at night is an ideal time to create your screencasts. If you're recording a screencast at a noisy school, one quiet place may be a parked car in the parking lot.

An easy first-screen casting project is to record your voice narrating a PowerPoint or Open Office presentation, as in this CamStudioexperiment I did using Open Office Presenter. All kinds of digital storytelling are possible when you master these skills. Check out this short YouTube video I created using CamStudio, back in 2007. Looking for clip art to use in your screencasts? Your first stop should be the public domain clip art at the Open Clip Art Library. You can also legally use creative commons images that you find on Flickr. Search for a photo topic on Flickr, and then use Advanced Search to narrow down the search to Creative Commons images.
